MyVallox ventilation units is now out with version 2.0.26
The software update for MyVallox ventilation units is now out with version 2.0.26. You can download it here.
Software version updates
- Monitoring the update progress is now easier. The MyVallox Control panel shows the loading progress of updates in percentages next to the icon. To access this feature, please download the latest update. This feature will appear during the next update.
- The malfunction in the temperature setting in the Custom mode has now been fixed.
- The operation of the low supply air temperature alarm has been changed:
- In the Custom mode or when the programmable input is used for controlling the unit, the unit does not give the low supply air temperature alarm because this is a special condition set by the user.
- When the unit detects a drop in the supply air temperature (below 5°C), it stops. After two minutes, the unit reactivates and measures the supply air temperature again. If the supply air temperature remains low (below 5°C), the unit stops and reactivates after the user has acknowledged the error.
There are no changes to the operation of the MyVallox Home user interface or MyVallox Touch panel.
Low supply air temperature alarm
Last winter, we received many enquiries about the alarm for low supply air temperature and we investigated the matter. There was no error in the software but the alarm was triggered when the supply air temperature dropped below 5°C. In some cases, the temperature even fell below zero. During bypass defrosting, the supply air temperature does not fall below 5°C and the unit has enough time to reduce the fan speed and maintain a temperature that is above this limit value.
We looked into customer reports and discovered the following reasons for the triggered low supply air temperature alarm:
- The unit has a mechanical problem, for example, a broken bypass damper or resistor, or displaced cell supports. In that case, the unit still gives the low supply air temperature alarm, and the software update does not fix this problem. The root cause of the error must be eliminated.
- In the Custom mode or when the programmable input is used, the difference in capacity between the fans is great, for example, supply 90% and extract 20%. The software update fixes this problem.
- The filters are dirty or the extract air filter is blocked, increasing the volume of supply air and deteriorating the unit’s efficiency. In this case, the unit still gives the low supply air temperature alarm.
Triggered overheating protection of Vallox 101 MV is an exception: In severe frost (-30…-35°C), the overheating protection of a resistor in Vallox 101 may be triggered during bypass defrosting, resulting in cold supply air. The software version’s reboot feature removes this problem.
