Replace the filters of the unit regularly
To ensure the most efficient ventilation possible, the filters of the ventilation unit should be replaced approximately every six months, at least twice a year. If the content of exhaust gas, pollen or other fine particles in the outdoor air is high, a more frequent replacement may be necessary. It is a good idea to make a habit of replacing the filters every spring and autumn.
Original Vallox filters should always be preferred when replacing filters, as their grade, dimensions and flow resistance are designed explicitly for your ventilation unit.
Check the condensing water outlet
When replacing the filters, check that the condensing water outlet at the bottom of the ventilation unit is not blocked. This is performed by pouring a small amount of water into the bottom pool. If the water does not go down, the condensing water outlet requires cleaning.
Cleaning of the HR cell
The heat recovery cell of the ventilation unit should be cleaned every 1–2 years. Remember to let the cell dry completely before mounting it back in place.
