Customer-driven product development
Product development at Vallox is based on a customer-driven approach
The design of Vallox ventilation units is particularly focused on energy-efficiency and a low noise level. An energy-efficient, unnoticeable ventilation system serves customers’ needs and improves people’s wellbeing – this is essentially important for us at Vallox. In our design and development work, we listen carefully to our customers’ wishes to ensure that our products meet the needs of installers, retailers, designers and end users alike.
“We serve many different target groups. For example, easy installation is important for installers, while the end users of the ventilation units appreciate the ease of use. In product development, we aim to take into account the needs of all target groups.”

Energy-efficient ventilation solutions
Our effort to provide energy-efficient solutions manifests itself in areas such as the components used in the Vallox ventilation units and the properties of the components. MyVallox units have an excellent heat recovery capacity, and their annual efficiency is nearly 80 per cent. The other characteristics of the units are also designed with consideration to low energy consumption. For instance, the ventilation units have integrated carbon dioxide and humidity sensors that boost the ventilation according to the need. When the unit adjusts the ventilation efficiency automatically, air is always exchanged at a rate that is suitable for the circumstances. Excessive ventilation means excessive energy consumption.
Fresh indoor air, quietly and unnoticed
Product development at Vallox pays a great deal of attention to the sound level and subdued appearance of the units. A low, non-disturbing sound level is important, because the ventilation is always on. Therefore, during the development of new products, the acoustic properties of the units are tested in the acoustic laboratory. Continuous product development enables the development of increasingly quiet ventilation units.
Tested Finnish cutting-edge technology
Finnish Vallox ventilation units are designed and manufactured in Loimaa, Finland, in Vallox’s own factory, with over 50 years of experience. All of their advanced properties are carefully considered, and each unit is thoroughly tested during the manufacturing process. The Vallox ventilation units are a result of Finnish top-notch expertise.

We respond to customers’ needs
Vallox also co-operates with representatives of the building sector, developing products to meet their needs. For instance, the builder of a high-rise building wanted an apartment-specific ventilation system that minimises the adverse effects of wind in a high-rise building. Developed on the basis of customer needs, Vallox’s product development team introduced the new advanced Vallox 99 MV CF ventilation unit, equipped with constant flow fans to minimise the effects of pressure differences.
“Vallox 99 MV CF is a good example of a product that was developed in co-operation with the customer. They had certain needs, and we responded to them. Co-operation with the customer is important to ensure that the product fulfils their wishes.”
