Vallox ventilation unit naming conventions changed
The naming conventions of Vallox ventilation units have been changed so that the unit product name includes a four-character code, indicating the handedness as well as the cell material, whether the delivery includes the control panel as well as the number/type of resistors.
The letters R and L were previously used in Vallox product names to indicate the unit’s handedness, e.g., Vallox 110 MV R. In what follows, there will be a four-character code after the product model as follows:
- Handedness R or L = right or left
- Cell: A, P or E = aluminium/plastic/enthalpy
- Control panel: 0 or 1 = does not include the control panel/includes the control panel
- Resistor: 0, 1, 2 or 3 = no resistors/post-heating resistor/post- and additional heating resistor/pre-heating resistor
The new product code for Vallox 110 MV R, for example, might be Vallox 110 MV RA12, meaning the following: Vallox 110 MV, right-handed, aluminium cell, control panel included in the delivery, the unit is fitted with a post- and additional heating resistor. Vallox 99 MV CF LA02, on the other hand, means a left-handed Vallox 99 MV CF unit with an aluminium cell, delivered without the control panel and fitted with a post- and additional heating resistor. The unit name indicates that it includes the Constant Flow function (CF). Some of the alternatives are only available in certain markets.
The new naming convention only applies to product names. Vallox product numbers, HVAC codes and GTIN codes remain unchanged.
Schedule
The new product names were entered into our ERP system at the end of 2022, and the new names have been used in order confirmations, invoices, product packaging etc. since then. We have also updated our product selection and dimensioning applications and have made the necessary changes elsewhere.
It is, however, possible that the new product names with the four-character code may not be shown in some context yet. We will try to make the transition period as short as possible.
