Pureo to the Rescue
Vallox Pureo improves working conditions in Norrköping
Just outside Norrköping on the east coast of Sweden, a temporary worksite was set up by Ragn-Sells, a company known for its focus on sustainability and waste management. The setup included four buildings: two offices, a garage, and a large tent used as a functional workspace. But there was one major problem: there was no ventilation in the tent.
Why Vallox?
Near Norrköping on a temporary worksite by Ragn-Sells was an issue with its tent which had no ventilation. The air quality quickly became a serious issue. Employees working inside the tent reported that the air felt heavy and stale, and concentration levels were low, especially during longer shifts. Initially, mechanical ventilation hadn’t been part of the plan, but it soon became clear that something needed to be done to improve the working conditions.
Ventilation & Energioptimering AB stepped in with a solution. They are partnered with Jan Mellström and Anders Sterling from LTS Products AB and selected the Vallox Pureo TX 500 as the right unit for the job. The decision was based on several key features of the Vallox Pureo TX 500 , including its top-connected design and plate heat recovery system, which was especially important in a space that may contain dust or trace gases related to waste handling.
After installation, the change was immediate. The difference in air quality inside the tent was noticeable, and feedback from staff was very positive.
From having no ventilation at all to operating with a modern and efficient air handling unit, the transformation was significant. The Vallox Pureo TX 500 made it possible for employees to work in a healthier and more productive environment, which is crucial in physically demanding roles.
The experience also showed how important on-site presence and hands-on guidance can be, especially when working with export projects or new installations. “Being on site when the unit is installed lets you solve problems quickly and give installers the small tips and tricks that don’t always come through in manuals.”, says Jan Mellström from LTS Products AB, who coordinated the project locally.
Looking forward, there are discussions about adding up to four more Pureo units to similar temporary buildings if the current setup continues to deliver strong results. For Ragn-Sells, this means long-term benefits like improved indoor air quality, safer working conditions, and potentially fewer sick days.
Client feedback
Matias Blomqvist and Henrik Elving from Ventilation & Energioptimering AB.
“The unit was easy to install, compact, and met the technical requirements of the space,” says Mathias. What helped a lot during the project was the support from Vallox. Jarkko Nygård even came on site to sort out a few issues, and together with Jan, made the handover much smoother.
“Ragn-Sells told us that, thanks to Vallox Pureo, the air quality is much better, and employees feel more energized at work! They are incredibly satisfied. There is a big difference in the indoor environment and there is no condensation on all the equipment in the tent like it used to.” tells Mathias from Ventilation & Energioptimering AB
