Fresh Indoor Air at the 2026 Lempäälä Housing Fair
The 2026 Housing Fair will be held in Lempäälä, in Saikan area, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the latest solutions in housing, building technology, and energy efficiency. This year’s main theme is climate wisdom, which can be seen in the material choices and design of every house built for the fair.
Local construction company Maanrakennus Antti Patakangas decided to participate in the Housing Fair for the first time by developing a two-storey terraced house in the area. The property consists of five family-friendly apartments, each equipped with a MyVallox 99 CFi ventilation unit. The solution was selected in cooperation with HVAC designer Juha Brunnila.
Although Vallox’s CFi product range was new to both Patakangas and Brunnila, they decided it was the right solution for the project. Their decision was influenced by their long-term experience with Vallox products.
Vallox Ventilation Units Chosen Based on 30 Years of Experience
With three decades of experience, Patakangas trusts the reliability of Vallox products. According to him, the Vallox ventilation units installed in older projects he has done, have not experienced any significant faults or maintenance issues. Although he had no previous experience with the CFi units, the MyVallox 99 CFi proved to be a suitable choice for the Housing Fair project. Its airflow capacity meets the needs of the apartments well, and thanks to its compact size, the unit could be installed even in a very limited space.

MyVallox 99 CFi -unit Fits into Small Spaces
According to Patakangas, the ventilation unit was easy for the plumbers to install, as the narrow and low-profile MyVallox 99 CFi is highly suitable even for small spaces. The compact unit was easily installed in the bathroom above the washer-dryer stack, even though the room height was only 240 centimetres due to technical solutions. The MyVallox Control panel is also conveniently located next to the bathroom door, making it easy for residents to operate and adjust the ventilation settings.
Interest in the terraced house project has been strong even before the opening of the Housing Fair. Of the five apartments, two have been sold and two rented, leaving only one apartment still awaiting its new owner. According to Patakangas, the Housing Fair area has increased demand for these homes, especially because high-quality playground areas and a new school have been built in the area. Overall, he thinks that the Housing Fair project has been a positive experience, culminating in the opening of the Housing Fair in July.
