Precise Airflow Control with Vallox 119 CFi near Warsaw, Poland
Located in Płochocin, west of Warsaw, the Przystanek Płochocin development by Domy Polskie consists of 9 semi-detached houses designed for modern residential living. The development combines private gardens, energy-efficient building solutions. It also has convenient transport connections, including access to the local railway station with direct connections to Warsaw.
To provide every home with energy-efficient and reliable ventilation, Klimat Dom delivered comprehensive mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery provided by Vallox 119 CFi ventilation units. The aim was to provide residents with a continuous supply of fresh air, high indoor comfort, and reduced ventilation-related energy losses.
Designed and Installed Under Professional Supervision
The ventilation systems were designed by a qualified engineer holding unrestricted building design licenses in the field of building services. The project was supervised by Paweł Rędziński, MSc Eng., who acted as the site manager and holds execution licenses in the field of building services.
As a result, the entire process, from design and installation to commissioning and balancing, was carried out under the supervision of suitably qualified professionals. During the design stage, attention was given to the layout and floor area of each dwelling, required airflow rates, terminal locations and duct routing. Also ventilation unit placement, service accessibility, acoustic comfort and overall energy efficiency was important.
The repetitive layout of the buildings made it possible to develop proven solutions that could be applied consistently throughout the development while maintaining installation quality.
Why choose MyVallox 119 CFi?
Each of the 18 houses was equipped with an individual MyVallox 119 CFi ventilation unit, allowing residents to control the system independently and adjust ventilation rates according to their needs.
According to Klimat Dom, the units were selected because they combine high build quality, efficient heat recovery, energy-efficient operation and extensive control capabilities.
An important factor in the selection process was the Constant Flow function, which enables the units to maintain the required airflow rates despite changes in system resistance caused, for example, by filter loading or changing weather conditions.
Additional factors included stable and predictable operation, precise system balancing, modern control options, access to operating data, remote diagnostics, technical support and long-term durability.
Meeting the Project Requirements with MyVallox 119 CFi
The primary requirement was to provide effective and energy-efficient ventilation while maintaining a high level of acoustic comfort.
The systems were also required to ensure correct air exchange throughout the dwellings, reduce heat losses and operate reliably in varying weather conditions. The system needed to also provide individual control for residents, consume little electrical energy and allow easy access for maintenance and filter replacement.
In addition, the solution needed to comply with the design documentation and applicable technical requirements while remaining suitable for repeated use across similar dwelling layouts.
Coordinating the Installation
One of the main challenges was coordinating the ventilation installation with other building services, structural elements, and interior finishes.
As is typical in residential construction, the available space for ductwork was limited, requiring careful planning of duct routes and ventilation unit locations. Ensuring suitable access for servicing the units and replacing filters was also an important consideration.
These challenges were addressed through ongoing coordination between different trades, supervision by a qualified professional, on-site verification of solutions, and the standardization of installation methods across repetitive dwelling layouts.
After installation, every system was commissioned, inspected, measured and balanced according to the design of airflow values.
Resident Feedback has been positive
Klimat Dom reports positive feedback regarding both indoor air comfort and the everyday operation of the systems.
According to them, residents particularly appreciate the constant supply of fresh air without the need to open windows regularly. Residents also appreciate effective removal of moisture from bathrooms and odors from living spaces, and the ability to adjust ventilation rates according to their individual needs.
Once correctly installed and balanced, the systems operate automatically and require only regular inspection and replacement of filters.
A Solution They Would Choose Again
Klimat Dom rates the quality of the Vallox 119 CFi units very highly. The company highlights their solid construction, reliable operation, and ability to accurately maintain the required airflow rates.
Particular advantages include the Constant Flow function, support for precise airflow balancing, access to the operating parameters required for commissioning and diagnostics, remote diagnostic capabilities, and technical support.
Based on the experience gained from the Przystanek Płochocin project, Klimat Dom states that it would choose Vallox units again for a similar residential development.
