From Vallox\u2019s perspective, corporate responsibility means taking both social and environmental responsibility for our operations. We continuously analyse the effects of our operations and products on our stakeholders and the world around us, observing the principles of sustainable development in our decision-making and the ways we work.<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The environment is a part of our operating policy<\/a>. The most important environmental impacts of Vallox are attributable to the materials and energy used in production. We have taken smaller climate actions each year since we were granted the environmental certificate in 2017. We continuously aim to reduce the environmental impacts of our operations by means such as systematically decreasing the amount of waste. For instance, by paying attention to the emissions from our company cars we have succeeded in the systematic reduction of emissions, and we are also gradually replacing old vehicles with electric cars. Whenever possible, we prefer energy-efficient solutions. We are currently examining the possibilities to use renewable energy sources in our operations. We have created an environmental strategy<\/a> for Vallox. It lays down our goals for the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vallox is certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard. In accordance with these standards, we continuously improve our operations and products. In addition to supervising our own operations, we monitor our partners to ensure that they follow the same principles.<\/p>\n\n <\/span>\n

\n Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)\n <\/h2>\n

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) are documents that describe the total life-cycle environmental impact of our products. EPDs are verified by an accredited third party. To draw up an EPD, the first step is a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) which assesses a product\u2019s environmental impact throughout its life cycle. The next step is calculating the product\u2019s environmental impact. Each EPD is drawn up according to the ISO 14025 and EN ISO 15804 standards and product category rules (PCR).<\/p>\n\n <\/span>\n

Vallox\u2019s business is based on the work of our committed and competent employees. We foster a corporate culture in which everyone\u2019s work is respected and in which we trust each other and everyone is heard and treated equally. We care about our employees\u2019 coping at work as well as their physical and mental wellbeing. We support cultural and sports activities, and our personnel are covered by an extra health insurance policy that also covers costs of specialised medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
