Download a calculator for calculating the energy consumption of your ventilation unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The adjacent energy consumption calculator allows you to calculate the energy consumption of your current ventilation unit in the Finnish climate and determine how much you can save by replacing your old unit with a new energy-efficient Vallox ventilation unit. Notice the significant impact that the supply air temperature (post-heating) has on the electricity consumption of the ventilation unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the calculation, the \u201cold\u201d ventilation unit is, typically, at least twenty years old and has a cross-flow heat recovery cell and AC fans. Such units include, for example, the Ilmava, Digit, and TSK models 130, 132, 75, 95 and similar by Vallox. The units made by other manufacturers with similar technology include Ilto 260, 300, 350, 400 and 440; Deekax 270, 280, 290, 300, 400, 430 and 435; Parmair\u2019s Iivari models, Haato LTO 11, 21 and 25; and Rexovent. Check the features of your unit from the manual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new ventilation unit used in the calculation is Vallox 125 MV<\/a>, which is equipped with AC fans, cross-counter flow cell, and modern defrosting automatics. Other models with similar technology include the 51<\/a>, 096<\/a>, 9<\/a>9<\/a>, 110<\/a>, 121<\/a>, 145<\/a>, and TSK Multi models<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The calculation is indicatory and has been made by using the weather conditions of Central Finland<\/strong>. In Southern Finland, by the coast, the energy need is approx. 15% lower and in Sodankyl\u00e4, in Lapland, approx. 20% higher. The location does not affect the energy consumption of the fans. If the freeze protection of the old unit is implemented by stopping the supply air fan, the energy consumption of post-heating is slightly lower than in the calculation. If the freeze protection is implemented by using a preheating radiator, the electricity consumption of the unit\u2019s heating resistors can be significantly higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the heating of the building is not based on electricity but, e.g., on oil or geothermal heat, the price of the heating energy can be selected separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
