Selecting a suitable ventilation unit is quicker and easier thanks to the two-way communication between Vallox MySelecta and MagiCAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vallox MySelecta product selection program has two-way communication with MagiCAD for AutoCAD and MagiCAD for Revit. But what does \u2018two-way communication\u2019 actually mean and why is it useful? And what is the MagiCAD Vallox button and how does it work?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In practice, two-way communication means that MagiCAD has a designated selection button for Vallox products through MagiCAD Connect. MagiCAD also transfers dimensioning data automatically from ventilation plans to the Vallox MySelecta product selection program to make selecting the right ventilation unit quicker and easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the ventilation designer has added the ducts and terminal devices to the ventilation plan, information on air flows and duct pressure losses can be sent from MagiCAD to Vallox MySelecta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below is a screenshot of MagiCAD for Revit. At this stage, the duct system has been designed and the terminal devices and their air flows have been added to the plan. The next step is to determine the size and capacity of the ventilation unit and add it to the plan. Now, we click on the aforementioned Vallox button:<\/p>\n\n\n

After clicking on the Vallox button, you can select the duct systems to be included in the analysis. In this example, the supply, extract, exhaust and outdoor air ducts are selected:<\/p>\n\n\n

Next, select \u2018Finish\u2019. This directs you automatically to the Vallox MySelecta product selection program.<\/p>\n\n\n

As shown in the picture above, the air flow and duct pressure data is transferred automatically from MagiCAD to Vallox MySelecta. This is an extremely useful feature, as it makes sure that the air flow and duct pressure data is accurate and compliant with the ventilation plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you have selected a suitable ventilation unit, \u2018Export to MagiCAD\u2019 appears under \u2018Export\u2019 in MySelecta. The ventilation unit information is transferred automatically to the plan in MagiCAD.<\/p>\n\n\n

You can also determine the air flows and pressure losses in the Away and Boost modes in MySelecta. The program calculates the air volumes for these two modes automatically (-30% and +30% respectively), but they can be adjusted manually, if necessary. If you have included a ceiling mounting plate in the ventilation unit in MySelecta, MagiCAD shows a 3D model of a ventilation unit with a ceiling mounting plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selecting a suitable ventilation unit is quicker and easier thanks to the two-way communication between Vallox MySelecta and MagiCAD. The feature also eliminates the possibility of entering inaccurate air flow and duct pressure data when selecting a unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another handy feature is that if you have all the unit information needed, you can create projects in MySelecta in advance. This makes transferring ventilation unit information to MagiCAD incredibly easy. You only must select a pre-saved project from MySelecta\u2019s project list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Product selection could not be any easier, right? Lastly, I want to boast about Vallox and point out that not every manufacturer has its own button in MagiCAD \u2013 but we do \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
