The attic floor penetration plate is intended for sealing the duct installation of the ventilation unit. When the vapour barrier of the building enclosure is penetrated by ventilation ducts, the penetrations must be sealed to keep the indoor air humidity out of the insulation layers. The attic roof penetration plate provides a convenient way of sealing.
